Matteo Sacchet got his PhD in Mathematics at the University of Torino, with a joint supervision at the Justus-Liebig Universität of Gießen (Germany). His research domain is Digital Education, in particular teaching and learning STEM disciplines with the new technologies, mainly through the use of an Advanced Computing Environment. He collaborates on many projects, both at the local level, with the Digital Math Training project, at the national level, with the Problem Posing & Solving project and at the international level, with the SMART project (Science and Mathematics Advanced Research for good Teaching). In 2017 he became a research fellow to manage and coordinate the project of the University of Torino start@unito, involving 50 open online courses in different disciplines and training university staff regarding different aspects of online education. In 2019 he got a joint postdoctoral research position between University of Torino and the University of Limerick.
