Science Week 2024 was a great success for Lero. We ran Science Week events in Limerick and MTU Tralee as part of Kerry Science Week. Events included AI Adventures – A Fun Dive into the World of AI for primary and post-primary level students, Wearable Technology for Sports Performance, CodePlus workshops, robotic workshops, Python and Scratch Jr workshops.
This year we collaborated with Libraries Ireland and judged the Europe Direct Soapbox Competition 2024 where the motion was "A.I. is not a threat to humanity" and we also held a public talk in the Limerick Library AI Demystified A Fun and Friendly Guide to How Smart Tech Works.
