Dr Silvana Togneri MacMahon is to be awarded the NSAI 1997 award at the NSAI Annual Standards Forum on the 16th October in the Alex Hotel Dublin. The award is given in recognition of exceptional dedication to standards development. Dr MacMahon acted as International Project Leader, Author and Editor if ISO TR 80001-2-7 which allows Healthcare Delivery Organisation assess the capability of their risk management processes related to medical IT networks. Dr MacMahon is active in the standards development community and is a member of the leadership team of ISO TC215 IEC SC 62A Joint Working Group 7. She is currently leading the process aspects of the revision of IEC 80001-1 and has presented this work and her previous work at international standard meetings.
