Dr. Attracta Brennan is a lecturer in the School of Computer Science at the National University of Ireland Galway.  

Her research interests span a number of areas, including: adaptive learning systems, game based learning, socio-technical systems to support older people, AR/VR and medical informatics. 

She is co-supervisor on a number of PhDs in the areas of; 

  • Evaluating the impact of adaptable digital maths games for students with Maths Anxiety  
  • Maintaining flow in a VR/AR Environment 
  • A multi-user VR recreational space for people with dementia 
  • A multi user VR social connecting space to reduce loneliness and promote quality of life in people with dementia
