Frances Cleary is a Research Division Manager in TSSG, Waterford Institute Of Technology and actively leads a Division that has expertise relating to Virtual & Augmented Reality, Pervasive sensing, Embedded Systems Communications and Bio-Nano Communication (Telecommunications). Frances has worked in multiple roles from Project Coordinator, Technical lead as well as Research Division Manager. She currently manages a Research Division with greater than 20 researchers/developers active in cutting edge research in thematic areas ranging from Bio-nano molecular communications , Mixed reality and Pervasive sensing. Her own focused research area involves etextiles and Smart materials and she is currently the lead and Innovation manager for the Etextiles and Smart materials Innovation Lab based in TSSG , Waterford Institute OF Technology.
