Malika Bendechache

Dr. Malika Bendechache is a Lecturer Above the Bar/Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science at the University of Galway (UoG) and an SFI Funded Investigator at Lero centre.
Malika’s background is in Big data Analytics, Machine Learning, Data Governance, Parallel and Distributed Systems, Trustworthy AI, Blockchain, Security, and Privacy. She designs novel big data analytics and machine learning techniques to enhance the capability and efficiency of complex systems, and I also leverage complex systems to improve the effectiveness, privacy, and trustworthiness of Analytics/Machine Learning techniques.
Previously, Malika held the position of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in the School of Computing at Dublin City University (DCU).
She has also held the position of Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Irish Institute of Digital Business (IIDB, dotLab) at DCU Business School. Her work was part of the RECAP Horizon 2020 project. She focused on developing the next generation of Cloud/Edge/Fog Computing through Interoperability, Automation, and Simulation.
Malika obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Science at Insight Centre for Data Analytics, University College Dublin. Her Ph.D. was on the design of a highly scalable distributed Big Data mining framework.
