Mritunjay Musale
PhD Student
Mritunjay Musale is a Ph.D. researcher in the Computer Science Department at the University of Limerick, working within LERO under the supervision of Prof. Conor Ryan. His doctoral research focuses on developing and optimizing synthetic data generation models, particularly Variational Autoencoders (VAEs) and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs). Before joining the Ph.D. program, Mritunjay completed his Master’s in Computer Science – Artificial Intelligence at the University of Galway, where he applied deep learning techniques for synthetic medical data generation. Back in India, his research work explored self-supervised learning methods in computer vision.
Alongside his studies, Mritunjay has gained industry experience as a Python Developer and React Developer, working on projects in automation, web application development, and data-driven business solutions. He has also been part of research internships, including work on automated parameter extraction using large language models and deep learning for fluid dynamics. His published work includes contributions on capsule networks and self-supervised learning methods. His research interests span generative AI, large language models, and their applications in healthcare and scientific domains.
