Professor Martin Glavin, Lero Funded Investigator and Head of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at University of Galway, has received a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Thought Leader of the Year – Government or Non-Profit category at the 21st annual International Business Awards®.
Known as “the International Stevies”, the International Business Awards® are open to organisations worldwide. This year, more than 3,600 nominations from across 62 countries were submitted for consideration. Winners were selected based on the average scores of more than 300 executives who served as judges in June and July.
According to members of the judging committee, “Professor Martin Glavin stands out as a deserving candidate for the Thought Leader of the Year – Government or Non-Profit award due to his significant contributions to public discourse on road safety and technology. Beyond his extensive academic publishing and teaching, Prof. Glavin has demonstrated a robust commitment to engaging with the wider public and policymakers.”
