Lero is the only Science Foundation Ireland research centre in Ireland devoted to software. Since its inception back in 2005, Lero has been involved in the generation of over a 2,000 scientific publications, the organisation of international workshops and has hosted high profile keynotes/invited speakers. We have also been active in the creation of international patents and have been source of many international standards.
Economic Impact
Every €1 invested by the State and industry in Lero between 2005 and 2018 contributed more than €5 to the economy, according to an Economic Impact Study carried out by Kemmy Business School at University of Limerick.
Spinout Companies
Over the years Lero research has been responsible for the creation of a number of successful spin-out companies, such as Nova Leah, and LogEntries.
