Lero researcher at Dundalk Institute of Technology Dr Silvana Togneri MacMahon was awarded the NSAI 1997 award at the NSAI Annual Standards Forum. The award is given in recognition of exceptional dedication to standards development. Dr MacMahon acted as International Project Leader, Author and Editor if ISO TR 80001-2-7 which allows Healthcare Delivery Organisation assess the capability of their risk management processes related to medical IT networks. Dr Mac Mahon is a member of the ISO TC 215 JWG7 leadership team and is currently leading the process aspects of the revision of IEC 80001-1 by invitation of the convenors of JWG7.
