Aisling O'Driscoll

Dr O’ Driscoll holds a PhD (Vehicular Communication Systems) and a Master’s of Engineering by research (Passive Monitoring of VoIP QoS) undertaken in the Nimbus Centre at Cork Institute Technology (CIT) and a BSc in Software Development and Computer Networking as well as numerous industry certifications. Her current research interests are in communication protocols and network management for wireless networks with applications domains including vehicular networks and IoT.
In 2017 she joined the Department of Computer Science in UCC as a member of academic staff. Prior to this she was a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science in CIT (from 2011) where she led interdisciplinary research from the European Union and the Irish Research Council among others. Dr O’Driscoll is also a Fund Investigator in CONNECT research centre, a director of IT@Cork and a STEM advocate.
