Chiara Cocco is a post-doctoral researcher at the University College Dublin, School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy. She is part of the Spatial Dynamics Lab team, currently working on the SCORE Horizon 2020 project, a four-year EU-funded project, with the aim to strengthen the ability of European coastal cities to deal with the impacts of climate change using digital technologies and nature-based solutions. She has a master’s degrees in Architecture, and a PhD from University of Cagliari, Italy. For the last two years, she worked in the EU Interreg “Coastal Communities Adapting Together” (CCAT) project, led by UCD, where she has been involved in planning and delivering citizen engagement activities to support Irish Sea coastal communities in understanding climate change and how they can adapt. Her research focuses on the use of digital technologies for citizens engagement in the observation and interpretation of their territory, and on the development of geodesign methods to support co-design processes.
