Khalid Javeed
Research Fellow
Khalid is a post-doctoral research fellow in the discipline of Software and Systems, School of Computer Science and Statistics, Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin and is also a member of Lero. His research interests include computer arithmetic, embedded systems, specialized memory architectures for DNNs, hardware implementation/ acceleration of cryptographic and bioinformatics algorithms. Currently, he is working towards processing in memory architectures for DNNs deployment on embedded systems.
Dr. Khalid has around 8 years’ experience of teaching and research. He has supervised several students’ thesis at BS, MS and PhD levels. Author of 11 peer reviewed journal and seven international conference publications.
Previously he has been Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Engineering, Bahria University Islamabad, Pakistan. He completed his PhD from Dublin City University Ireland in 2016 on HEA Ireland funding, MSc from Linköping University, Sweden and BSc from COMSATs University, Pakistan in computer engineering in 2010 and 2007, respectively.
