Sharsad Karakuni

Sharsad Karakuni is a Data Scientist working at IMaR research group in IT Tralee. Sharsad is working on SFI Lero funded project in collaboration with LCC which aims to develop an Autonomous and Adaptive Systems for Next Generation Container Cranes. His research focuses on Data Analytics, Scheduling and Machine learning techniques to achieve a fully automated crane operation. Dr. Sharsad has a BEng in Mechanical engineering from the University of Nottingham and continued to graduate with a Doctorate degree from the same university. His PhD research included Mathematical Modelling and Experimental Investigation of Single-Stage and Multi-Stage Valve-less Impedance Pumping System. Sharsad’s expertise is in System Analysis, Technical Programming and Computing, Data Analysis and Visualization.
